Frequently Asked Questions

What forms of payment do you accept?

Payment for online session will be collected via e-transfer. An invoice will be sent within 48 hours of booking.
In person sessions may be paid by cash or e-transfer.
Receipts for sessions are sent at the end of each session.

DO you provide direct billing?

No, I do not provide direct billing.
Receipts will be emailed after each session for you to submit to your primary or secondary insurance company or to your health spending account.

DO you offer deep tissue massage?

I'm not a 'get in there and dig it out' kind of practitioner, my focus is on nervous system supportive touch.

I believe that when we listen to and work with your body and her nervous system we’re able to create space in your body and change in deeper structures with more ease.

Can a relaxation massage or bodywork session be therapeutic?

Absolutely. The primary goal of our nervous system is to detect danger and protect us. Too much pressure, depth, or force too soon and your nervous system may actually increase the tone of your muscles (making them tighter, more tense and rigid) to protect the structures and tissues beneath.

By working with the body and her tissues gently and slowly, either with oil based massage, or bodywork such as fascial or craniosacral work - the nervous system is able to relax and let down it’s guard and we’re able to address deeper structures and restrictions with a softer approach.

Will sessions be painful?

Know that although you may have a specific muscle or organ issue that you want to heal and address, it does not exist (nor can it be treated) in isolation in your body.

As we work with your body and the intention to support specific parts we will also be working with inflammation, adhesions, scar tissue, and emotional holdings which may cause some discomfort.

And this is where I want to remind you that this work is about listening to and honouring where you are in each session and each moment.

If at any point in a session you feel something is too much for you - be your body’s advocate and let me know. We can then adjust pressure, technique or stop all together.

Are Abdominal and womb Therapy sessions safe for everyone?
